Privacy Policy

PaperBox does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal information with us or any third party. All data you create within the app — scanned documents, folder structures, tags, reminders, notes, and OCR-extracted text — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage.

Camera — Required to scan physical documents using your device camera. Photo Library / Media Images — Required to import existing images from your photo library for scanning. Biometrics / Face ID / Fingerprint — Used solely for the App Lock feature. We never store or transmit biometric data. Authentication is handled entirely by the operating system. Notifications — Used to deliver document reminders you have set up within the app. All notification scheduling is local — no push notification servers are used.

PaperBox uses Google ML Kit Text Recognition, which runs entirely on-device. Text extracted from your documents never leaves your device and is not shared with Google or any other party.

All data is stored locally in your device's private application storage. This data is not backed up to any cloud service operated by us. If your device supports system backups (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android), your data may be included in those system backups subject to your device settings and the respective platform's privacy policy.

PaperBox does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics services, or third-party tracking tools. The only third-party code used is: • Google ML Kit Text Recognition (on-device, no network calls for inference) • OpenCV (on-device image processing, no network calls)

PaperBox does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is safe for all ages.

You can delete all app data at any time by: • Using "Clear All Data" in Settings, which permanently removes all documents, folders, tags, reminders, and profile data from your device. • Uninstalling the app, which removes all associated local data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and include the updated policy in the next app release.
